Super 6 Round 3 01-09-12

Last weekend Richard Haken scored 22 points of a possible 25 points and took home the £5000 guaranteed prize pool. He just missed out on the £20,000 reduced jackpot and was close to winning the full £100,000 jackpot.

Super 6 Round 3 Betting Tips

  • Swansea 2 vs. Sunderland 0

Swansea and Sunderland have only played each other twice. Sunderland won 2-0 at home in 2012 and the two teams played to a 0-0 draw in 2011 at Swansea. Swansea has been in great form to start the season with two clean sheet wins. Sunderland has only played one match that ended 0-0 against Arsenal. I’m predicting Swansea to win 2-0 in this match.

  • West Brom 1 vs. Everton 2

Everton is 7-4-1 against West Brom in the top flight including a 1-0 win last time they played at the Hawthorns. Everton is 2-0 this season with wins over Man Utd (1-0) and Aston Villa (3-1). West Brom beat Liverpool 3-0 at home and had a 1-1 draw in round 2 against Tottenham. Everton is playing too good to bet against them and I’m selecting Everton to win the away match 2-1.

  • Leeds 1 vs. Blackburn 1

Both teams have been in good form to start the Championship. Blackburn is 3rd on the table while Leeds is 7th on the table. You can’t look back at recent performances for this match, as the teams haven’t played H2H since 2005-06. I expect a close match and a 1-1 draw is what I’m backing on my Sky Sports Super 6 round 3 selections this weekend.

  • Tottenham 3 vs. Norwich 1

Tottenham has struggled to score goals early on and they’ve yet to win their 1st match after the 1st two rounds. Tottenham just had a 1-1 draw at home against West Brom while Norwich also had a 1-1 draw in round 2 against QPR. Tottenham knows this is a match that they should win and I think they solve some of their early scoring troubles. I’m backing a 3-1 Tottenham home win.

  • Wigan 1 vs. Stoke 1

In the L6 H2H matches between Wigan and Stoke there has been a total of four draws. These two teams seem to draw a lot and I think a 1-1 draw is likely in this match. Stoke just played a great match against Arsenal in round 2 (0-0) while Wigan won their 1st match of the Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over newly promoted Southampton.

  • Hull 0 vs. Bolton 2

Hull has started the Championship really slowly, as they only have 1 goal in 3 matches. Bolton has looked better than Hull early on during the new campaign and I’m backing Bolton to win 2-0 in this match. The last time these two have played H2H was back in 2009 and therefore looking back at recent match-ups isn’t going to help much.

I’m also selecting the golden goal to be scored in the 2nd minute this weekend. Make sure you make your selections for round 3 of the Super 6 content at Sky Sports by Saturday, September 1st 2012 at 3PM or else you’ll miss the cut-off for this weekend.
